Fundamentals of Long Range
July 31- Aug 1, 2026 | Woodland, CA
This will be our last Fundamentals of Long Range class of 2026 at our Woodland range and one of the final opportunities to get behind the rifle with us before hunting season is in full swing.

Whether you're a hunter looking to extend your effective range or a shooter wanting to build a solid foundation in long-range marksmanship, this two-day class is designed to give you the knowledge and confidence to make consistent, ethical hits at distance.

Over the course of the weekend we cover:
• Rifle and optic setup
• Zeroing procedures
• Ballistic solvers and data collection
• Wind reading fundamentals
• Reticle usage and corrections
• Building stable shooting positions
• Spotting impacts and misses
• Engaging targets from 100 yards to 1,000+ yards

If you're planning a hunt this fall, there is no better time to get your rifle, ammunition, and ballistic data confirmed while also refining the skills needed to make a clean shot when it matters most.

This class just raised the bar.

We wrapped up another 2-Day Make It to a Mile class, and these shooters absolutely showed up.

In unprecedented fashion, 15/15 shooters made impacts at a mile within 10 shots. We had 2 first-round impacts, and half the class connected in their first 5 shots.

For perspective, the average success rate for this course is usually around 50% of the class making impacts at a mile… so watching every single shooter get it done was pretty unreal.

Huge congrats to all of our students for crossing this bucket-list shot off in a big way.

Our next Make It to a Mile class is October 10–11 and will be the final class at our Woodland range for the 2026 season.

The 30+ MPH winds didn’t stop this crew this morning.
We had a private class at the range with sunny skies and tough wind conditions, which made it the perfect day to work on wind calls, reticle usage, corrections, and fast follow-up shots.

These guys put in the work, made solid impacts, and didn’t let the conditions slow them down.

Late summer and fall class schedule is officially live. Every class through late June is completely sold out, so now is the time to lock in your spot for the second half of the season.

We’re offering a full lineup of training opportunities at our private Woodland, CA range, with a major focus on preparing hunters for the upcoming season. That includes our one-day LR Skills Clinics for focused “train-up” days, as well as our more immersive LR Hunter courses built around practical field shooting, positional work, and real-world hunting scenarios.

We’ve also opened a limited number of weekend dates for private lessons and private group classes. Those dates always go fast and will likely fill well ahead of season opener.

Whether you’re brand new to long range shooting or looking to sharpen your skills before your next hunt, we have a course built for you.

We wrapped up our annual Ladies of Long Range clinic today. This marks the fourth year of running this class, and it has become one of the most rewarding and anticipated weekends of our entire shooting season. Watching the progression over just a single day was incredible. Confidence grew with every relay, fundamentals tightened up fast, and by the end of the class these ladies were making consistent impacts at distances many people never imagine shooting.

What makes this class important goes far beyond simply getting more women out to the range. If you care about the future of fi****ms ownership, fi****ms policy, and protecting the Second Amendment, this is where real long-term change starts.

Women are now the fastest-growing demographic in the fi****ms community. According to industry data from the National Shooting Sports Foundation, nearly 50% of all new firearm purchases in recent years have been made by women. Millions of first-time gun owners since 2020 have been female, and that growth continues year after year. The conversation around fi****ms ownership is changing, and women are becoming a massive part of that shift.
Education and training matter. Responsible fi****ms ownership starts with safety, competence, and confidence. The more people we introduce to professional instruction and a positive fi****ms community, the stronger the future of shooting sports and gun rights becomes. These women are not only becoming capable shooters and hunters, they are becoming educated advocates, voters, and voices for the future of fi****ms ownership across California and the western United States.

Hunting season is right around the corner now is the time to get your rifle dialed and your skills where they need to be.

We spend years applying for tags, thousands on gear, and countless hours scouting only to come up short when it matters most. Don’t let that be you.

We used to say on the sniper team: shooting is 10% of the job… until it becomes 100% of what we do. Hunting is no different. When the moment comes, nothing else matters except making an ethical, confident shot.

We’re currently booking private lessons and classes through July and August. If you’re serious about making it count this season, now’s the time to get to work.

We’re hosting a 100% FREE Junior Long Range Skills Clinic on July 18, 2025 at our private range outside Woodland, CA.
This is an opportunity for young shooters to build a solid foundation in long range shooting in a safe, structured environment. The course will cover fi****ms safety, rifle and optic fundamentals, zeroing, ballistic solver setup (with parent assistance), and progressing all the way out to 1000+ yards.

Each junior must be accompanied by a legal guardian for the duration of the class.

Spots are extremely limited only 10 shooters and will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

We have several custom rifles available if needed. Ammunition will be provided at cost.

The LR Hunter Course is back June 20–21 with only 3 spots left!

This isn’t a square range class. This is built for hunters who want to be effective when the shot actually matters—uneven terrain, time pressure, real-world positions, and wind that doesn’t cooperate.

Over two days, we focus on applying solid fundamentals in field conditions. You’ll spend time moving through terrain, building positions off natural features, working tripod setups, and making ethical hits at distance.

If your goal is to extend your effective range while staying accountable in a hunting environment, this is the class.

Private LR Skills Clinic down in Tehachapi this weekend. We’ve been fortunate to make this trip every year to a great private mountain range and work with an awesome group of local shooters. Huge thank you to Jacob and crew for having us back—this is one of the classes I look forward to every season.

The crew showed up ready to work and it paid off. Watching the JRs on the line consistently making impacts out to 1100 yards is what it’s all about.
