*****ENFP Female Singer Seeks Humanistic Musicians for Quirky, Whimsical Band

I’m looking for Progressive-minded musicians who are open to experimentation, to form a one-of-a-kind band with me! They can be local or virtual.

I write and sing whimsical, imaginative lyrics for songs that are playful and thought-provoking, using humor, imagery and an unconventional approach to convey deeper messages.

I’m seeking musicians who can compose unique, quirky music — songs that have a fun, danceable beat and a Rolling Stones/classic rock edge (genres known for infectious rhythms, catchy melodies and a rebellious spirit). These tunes (for my lyrics) will get people moving, and will spread joy and inspiration to make the world a better place!

I’m seeking musicians who would like to compose music for my lyrics; and musicians, please note:

I’ll be equally happy to compose lyrics for your music! I’m very into collaboration.

I’m interested in *all* types of instruments, from the requisite drums and guitars and keyboards, to saxophones and clarinets, to xylophones and accordions and such, to more unusual instruments that most people (including me!) have never even heard of.

I’m looking to incorporate nature sounds into the mix, depending on each particular song, such as (but not limited to) the unusual sound a group of bamboo trees make on a windy day; the songs of wild birds; and the crunchy sound that dry leaves on the sidewalk make when you step on them.

So if you’re a music producer, I’d love for you to be part of our band too!

Following is a link to a music video of me singing a song I wrote (“I want a dolphin for a boyfriend”) accompanied by a band I had in NYC with friends. (This NYC band had no producer, so the musical arrangement could have been better. It was all improv.)

I look forward to hearing from you if you relate to what I’m seeking! And if you know any musicians who might be interested, please share this with them!

Between a rock and a hard place re: sunscreens

Despite the clear benefits of sunscreen, questions about sunscreen safety — and even its necessity — have been debated for years.
