Meet the late Knud Holscher, the legendary Danish architect who shaped d line from the very beginning.

In 1971, while working under Arne Jacobsen, Holscher realized the market lacked a cohesive, high-quality hardware line. He designed d line’s very first collection to fill that gap, grounded in a simple rule: design should be modest, functional, and engineered to last a lifetime.

This archival look inside the personal residence Holscher designed for himself offers a glimpse into the quiet, functional minimalism that still dictates d line’s product catalog today.

Bridgeport Worldwide is proud to be the official distributor for d line. Explore classic Danish craftsmanship for your next project at the link in our bio. 🔗
