VETSBuilt Contracting

My younger brother DJ and I started VETSBUILT Contracting in November 2014. Our goal is to build VETSBUILT into a major builder/contractor in the Phoenix area. We are committed to helping and hiring veterans and putting them to work. We believe deeply in serving and those who have served our country, and we can prove it: Our great uncle was a Welsh immigrant and fought as a

Marine in WWI. In the Army and fought at “The Bulge” under the great Gen. Our older brother is a Former Marine. Bob’s son is a Navy Seabee. Bob is a Former Marine, and DJ tried to join the Marine Corps but open-heart surgery kept him from serving (the recruiter did say he had the right “attitude” to be a Marine…). Bob is a cancer survivor and he was on the 39th floor of WTC-1 on 9-11 when the first plane hit the building and has seen the unspeakable… So, in addition to helping put vets to work and veterans causes, we are looking to help donate time, money and effort to 1st responders, veterans, and Dana-Farber (children’s cancer). Bob was an MOS “1371” Combat Engineer in the Marine Corps and has been involved in many types of construction. DJ holds his AZ real estate license and has been deeply involved in many aspects of real estate and land development for over the past ten years. We have also partnered with Arcbilt Development and together we bring you over 20 years of experience in the building, construction and real estate market surrounding Phoenix. By working with and hiring VETSBUILT you will be helping those who fought for you and your way-of-life: FREEDOM. V/r,

Bob and DJ Jenkins

“It’s unwise to pay too much, but it’s worse to pay too little.
When you pay too much, you lose a little money—that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do.” ~John Ruskin

Most, if not ALL, trade schools accept VA benefits.
Any veteran with a (good) DD214 can apply!

Do the math:
4 years of worthless college = $400,000.00
- Find a job as a waiter...
2 years of trade school = $0.00. VA
- Go to work - apprentice (depending on the trade). $20.00+ hr

PLUMBERS:
The median salary for plumbers comes in at $59,880, which is a solid living. But, as you gain experience, that goes up. The top 10 percent bring in over $99,920, so some are certainly crossing the six-figure threshold.

ELEVATOR MECHANIC:
How does a median annual salary of $97,860 sound? Pretty good, right? Well, as an elevator mechanic, you could certainly bring that home.

Elect Powerline technician:
Usually, your days are steady. But, if there’s an outage, you could be sent out to help. In exchange for your dedication, you could earn a median salary of $74,530 a year.

AIRCRAFT MECHANIC:
Usually, aircraft mechanics acquire their skills at a technical school that is Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified. After that, with a bit of on-the-job training and some time, you could be bringing in an annual salary of $65,550, give or take.

ELECTRICIAN: But, while you’re training, you do get paid, so that helps. Plus, once you learn the ins and outs of the job – including installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical components, wiring, and controls – you could secure the median salary of $60,040 a year. Nice, right?

HVAC TECH: Once you learn the ropes, you could find yourself earning the median annual salary of $48,630. In many cases, that’s a pretty comfortable living.

On the eve of the 23rd anniversary of 9-11 I wanted to share a couple thoughts...
One is a YouTube video of me explaining my journey (along with thousands of others, walking down the STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN).
I have attached several pictures of my car. I had this car wrapped by a good friend and Marine, Andrew Napoleon he owns A&M Graphics in Mesa... I had it wrapped as a TRIBUTE and remembrance not only to all those who were lost but to those who lost on 9-11. Pictures are attached. I call it "THE SURVIVOR"

I will be in NYC this wednesday, 9-11-24 to visit and pay my respects to the WTC "Ground-Zero" site. A very old and good friend has negotiated a special trip; I'm honored to be able to attend! I'll be joined by many but one in particular is a Retired Navy SEAL and Medal Of Honor Recipient...

For all you MARINES reading this, you'll appreciate the picture taken 2-weeks prior to the attacks by a pilot flying a 1951 Marine L-17, used in Korea and early Viet Nam... Semper Fi!

NEVER FORGET!
