The birthplace of American w**e is getting some well-deserved national attention!

We’re thrilled to see the Monticello AVA featured in Food & W**e, with writer Erin Perkins exploring our region’s rich history, remarkable diversity, and the w**emakers shaping its future.

From Thomas Jefferson’s early ambitions to grow European grape varieties at Monticello to today’s 40+ w**eries in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Virginia w**e has come a long way.

And unlike regions known for one signature grape, our strength lies in our diversity. Cabernet Franc, Viognier, Petit Verdot, and distinctive blends are all part of the story.

Next up? Charleston!

November 13–15, Monticello AVA w**es will take center stage at the Food & W**e Classic in Charleston, including the Grand Tastings and an exclusive Caviar & Terroir dinner at The Restaurant at Zero George featuring w**es from Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards, King Family Vineyards, and Barboursville Vineyards.

As Pippin Hill co-founder Dean Andrews puts it:

“It’s got the right terroir, and now it has the right w**emakers.”

We couldn’t agree more. Congratulations to the w**eries representing our region, and thank you to Food & W**e and Erin Perkins for sharing our story!

Our sweet little Crozet is FINALLY getting its flowers, and we love to see it!

Southern Living just gave one of our favorite Blue Ridge towns the spotlight it deserves, and we couldn’t agree more. Mountain views, apple orchards, local shops, great food, and of course, some seriously good Virginia w**e.

We’re especially thrilled to see Monticello W**e Trail members King Family Vineyards , Grace Estate W**ery , Stinson Vineyards , and Fallen Tree Vineyard getting some love!

If you’ve spent any time in Crozet, you know the magic. And if you haven’t? Consider this your invitation.

Thank you to writer Lydia Mansel and Southern Living for showing our little corner of Virginia some love!
