Happy Birthday to the one and only Reed Wagner! 🎉
Not only is he an incredible boss, but also a teacher, mentor, and true role model here at Wagner's Hardware & Gifts. Since I started working here, I’ve seen firsthand the care and dedication Reed has for every single customer who walks through the doors. Whether it’s helping someone new in town feel welcome or taking care of customers who have been shopping here since the days his father ran the store, Reed always goes above and beyond.
It takes a lot of guts to continue a family legacy, and Reed has done an amazing job turning Wagner’s into so much more than just a hardware store. He’s created a place where people feel welcome, valued, and at home the moment they walk through the doors. His kindness, knowledge, patience, and work ethic are a huge part of what makes Wagner’s so special to our community.

A little ~how to~ on oil cloth platic table covers. Which is perfect for summer occasions!
Elastic-Fitted Cover (Best for Wind)
Cut Fabric
Measure:
Length + 4"
Width + 4"
Side depth + 4"
Example:
72" × 30" table with 4" depth:
Cut approximately:
80" × 38"
Create Corner Darts
Fold corners into triangles.
Sew corner seams.
Test fit.
Make Elastic Casing
Fold edge under 1".
Sew around edge leaving opening.
Thread elastic through casing.
Join elastic ends.
Close opening.
Finished Result
The cover stretches over the table and stays in place even outdoors.
Oilcloth Sewing Tips
✔ Use clips instead of pins
✔ Use a longer stitch length (3–4 mm)
✔ Teflon foot helps prevent sticking
✔ Don't iron directly on oilcloth
✔ Wipe clean with mild soap and water
✔ Round the corners slightly for a more finished look
Fabric Yardage Guide
Table Size Oilcloth Needed
4 ft (48" × 24") 2 yards
6 ft (72" × 30") 2.5–3 yards
8 ft (96" × 30") 3–3.5 yards
Quick No-Sew Version
Cut oilcloth 6–8 inches larger than the tabletop on all sides.
Fold corners underneath like hospital corners.
Secure with adhesive Velcro strips or tablecloth clips.
Add elastic tablecloth clips underneath.
