❄️ Winter Workshop options are here! ❄️

These designs are my more budget-friendly workshop options, making them a great fit for larger groups, mom's groups, church gatherings, fundraisers, and other group events!

I also offer larger, more individualized projects (think door hangers, porch leaners, larger holiday products) for smaller workshops where I can spend more time working alongside each person and guiding them through the process.

A few workshop details:
• Groups of 5 or fewer: I can prepare kits with instructions for your group to enjoy together!
• Groups of 6 or more: I can come to your event and lead the workshop from start to finish, if you'd like!

I'm located in Central Illinois and would love to help bring a little creativity to your next group gathering. If you're still looking for fall projects, the fall workshop options are posted earlier on my page, so feel free to scroll back and take a look.

As always, feel free to message me with questions or to start planning your workshop!

Got the official email that I made Star Seller status again on Etsy for November!! 🌟

A big thank you to everyone who has supported my little business through purchases, reviews, messages, and word-of-mouth recommendations. Running a small business is a lot of hard behind-the-scenes work and even years later continues to be a learning curve for me. I’m so grateful for customers who make it all worthwhile. Thank you for continuing to make The Kemp Nest possible! 🩵

And just like that, October is in the books! From finishing up fall orders to jumping right into Christmas and winter creations, the workshop has been a busy place lately.

I’m so thankful for everyone who has supported The Kemp Nest this fall.

Now it’s time to trade pumpkins for pine trees and dive into all the winter crafting craziness! 🎄

While fall and Christmas orders have been keeping me busy, I was happy to switch gears for a bit and send out these two patriotic porch leaners yesterday! Both are headed to their new homes just in time for Veterans Day.

As a military wife, creating pieces that honor our service members and the sacrifices made by military families will always hold a special place in my heart.

To all who have served and those who continue to serve, thank you! ❤️🤍💙

That awkward time of year when the Christmas orders are in full swing and in need of marketing photos, but we don’t decorate for Christmas at home until after Thanksgiving. 😂 Don’t worry, I’m at least working on getting the Halloween decorations out of the photo area today!

If you’ve been wondering where I’ve been this Halloween season instead of posting new creations…just take a quick look at our porch. 😅

While I’ve still been busy working on customer orders, much of my extra time in the workshop this season was spent bringing our annual Halloween party decorations to life.
From wooden tombstones and Haunted Mansion-inspired signs to a little doombuggy of our own, every piece was cut by hand and decorated by me. It was a different kind of creating this year, but one that gave me so much room to have fun, get creative, and make something special for our family’s favorite Halloween tradition!🎃

A little behind-the-scenes look at a fall sign coming together! 🎃🍂

This pumpkin patch sign features a shiplap-style background, hand-painted orange pumpkins personalized with names, and a wooden “Welcome to Our Pumpkin Patch” embellishment to bring it all together.

I love how adding those little personal touches can turn a piece of fall décor into something special for a family to enjoy year after year!

A big thank you to the women of Grace Church of the Nazarene for inviting me to join you for a fall craft workshop! I had such a wonderful time crafting with you all!

They chose a combination of my block pumpkin kits and block scarecrow kits, and I loved seeing how everyone put their own spin on their projects. It’s always fun to watch the same kit turn into so many different creations as everyone adds their own personal style and makes it their own. 🎃

It’s such a fun time of year in my little workshop! I’m working on everything from Halloween decor to football porch leaners to Christmas pieces, sometimes all in the same day. It’s always fun to see the mix of seasons and styles coming through my orders this time of year.

This football leaner looks right at home posing in my son’s sports-themed bedroom! 🏈

What season are you decorating for right now? Are you still enjoying fall, getting ready for Christmas, or somewhere in between?

A little appreciation post for the people who take the time to leave a review. 🩵

When you support The Kemp Nest, you’re supporting a small, handmade business that I’ve built from home while raising my kids. Every order means a lot, but when someone takes a few extra minutes to come back and leave a review, tell me they love their piece, or share how it looks in their home, I never take for granted.

Reviews help other customers feel confident ordering from a small shop, but they also give me a little boost of encouragement on the busy days when I’m sanding, painting, packing orders and trying to keep up with everything behind the scenes.

These little pieces of feedback are a reminder that the things I’m creating in my little Illinois village are finding their way into homes all over the country, and that will never stop being pretty amazing to me!

Here are just a few from this week! Thank you for supporting The Kemp Nest and for taking the time to let me know how I’m doing.
