It sure does take a while for the bandsaw to cut pieces off this 3.5” round stock! This is a 10’ bar we got from an auction for cheap that we specifically use for making new meatballs. So far this stock has made 4 or 5 meatballs so we should get our moneys worth out of it haha.

Working on some soft jaws for the Kurt vise on the Fadal! I think it takes about 6 minutes to pump out these jaws. Truly amazing how quickly a vmc can pump these out!

Alex managed to knock out an athol 97 meatball today. All that’s left is to drill the handle hole and add a set screw. He’s getting pretty good at pumping these out.

I just picked up a huge box of files and man are they grimy and caked with junk. I just started hitting them with the wire wheel and it cleans them up incredibly fast! It saves me so much time compared to soaking them and cleaning them out with a file card. If you’ve read this far, this is a joke.

I found this satisfying turning video from when I was building handles. I thought it paired well with the handle ball making a chime sound lol.

The geometric die head is a super handy tool on the shop! I have a box full of the chasers for it but when I went to swap to another set it took me 30 minutes to figure out how to swap them. I figured it would be useful info for other newcomers that are interested in these die heads!

Trying out some 5/8” chasers on the geometric die head! This tool is incredibly fun to use on the lathe and it’s very satisfying to watch.

Cleaning up some swivel locks for a customer! This fine grit buffing wheel does absolutely nothing wonders for deburring and shining up parts! The only issue with these wheels is it heats up the parts extremely fast!
