Earlier this week, I posted about how to overcome analysis paralysis in decorating. ⁠

Today, in the spirit of show and tell, I want to share concept collages (moodboards) I developed for the clients. The directive was whimsy and hygge vibes.⁠

As you swipe, notice how elements from each concept melded together to give rise to their unique living room. ⁠
⁠
Through a smart mix of attic, estate sale, and online finds their space came together in a way that is natural and, more importantly, authentic. ⁠
⁠
Imagination isn't at odds with reality. In other words, it doesn't have to leave us wanting. ⁠

The purpose of vision is to aim our steps, not cement them.

I love collaborating with homeowners and local contractors!⁠

On this project, the homeowners wanted to update her bathroom without undertaking a costly remodel of the shower and tub area. ⁠
⁠
They also desperately needed storage to accommodate the stuff of daily life: toiletries, towels, laundry. ⁠
⁠
With the help of the talented team we executed our vision for the room. ⁠
⁠
I helped with the concept and selecting the tile, vanity, plumbing and lighting fixtures, hardware millwork paint color, and even bringing in a tropical plant to enliven the shower room!⁠

Since we're talking about clothing and laundry on the Glimpse Journal: Here's a fresh bathroom-turned-laundry room.⁠

My client's laundry was in the garage and doing the laundry was, well, a dirty job. 😅⁠
⁠
She converted an unused bathroom (sadly I'm the queen of no before pictures!) into a functional laundry room near all bedrooms. ⁠

I helped her with layout concepts to replay to the contractor, and picking all the finishes.⁠
⁠
