Cutting snare beds on this. Specs are 6 inch width and about 3mm deep at the center of the snare bed. Using a sander to shave it to the template then finishing the edge by hand.

Quick check that the shell is level before bearing edge cutting. I don't have a flat, level granite slab or anything for this but the the floor will do if it's level.

3 coats danish oil on the interior after drying. Outside has 8 coats water based lacquer.
