Cutting snare beds on this. Specs are 6 inch width and about 3mm deep at the center of the snare bed. Using a sander to shave it to the template then finishing the edge by hand.

Quick check that the shell is level before bearing edge cutting. I don't have a flat, level granite slab or anything for this but the the floor will do if it's level.

This is what the snare looks like with the freshly sprayed lacquer dried. The gloss will be more prominent once I polish it
