🌲 CHAINSAW OWNERS — SOMETHING TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR FUEL THIS YEAR! ⛽️

At Knowles True Value, we want to help our customers understand something that can affect the way your chainsaw runs this fall.

⚠️ 2026 has seen an unusually early transition to winter-blend gasoline.

The EPA issued a special waiver on August 20, 2026, allowing the transition to winter gasoline to begin September 1st, earlier than the normal end of the summer fuel-control period.

🔧 Why does that matter to your chainsaw?

Winter gasoline is generally formulated to be more volatile than summer gasoline. In a 2-stroke chainsaw, changes in fuel volatility can affect:

• Starting characteristics
• Throttle response
• Idle quality
• Fuel vaporization
• Carburetor mixture behavior
• How the saw responds under load

If your chainsaw seems to be behaving differently than it did earlier this summer — harder starting, different idle, hesitation, or a change in how it pulls under load — fuel can be one of several things worth considering.

That doesn’t necessarily mean there is anything wrong with your saw. Fuel formulation, temperature, storage, oil mix, carburetor adjustment, and the condition of the saw can all play a role.

Leaves are about to start falling… good thing our crew is ready! Our STIHL order came in today, and we put our highly trained assembly department to work.

The blowers are assembled, fueled up, and ready to send those leaves back to the neighbor they came from.

No child labor laws were violated in the making of this video. We checked. Probably. 😳
