Historic homes were built with details that deserve to be preserved. With the right experience and equipment, damaged mouldings can often be reproduced to match the original profile.
We’re currently working on an amazing historic renovation project in Central PA, helping restore the character of a historic building by reproducing hundreds of yards of interior trim, window casing, and ceiling millwork to match the original craftsmanship. One of the coolest parts of the process is seeing what our custom mill team can do. With years of experience and a deep knowledge of historic millwork, they’re able to take even a small surviving piece of original trim or moulding, carefully measure and template the profile, create custom knives, and reproduce material that matches the original craftsmanship.
Projects like this are a reminder of the craftsmanship and attention to detail that helped shape so many older homes and buildings throughout our communities. Historic millwork adds warmth, character, and a sense of history that continues to make these spaces special for generations.
