I updated these six chairs for one of my clients last month, and I’m currently working on two more accent chairs that go with the set.

Hey everyone! I spent the month of November working on custom orders for a couple of my repeat clients. I wanted to start with sharing these adorable benches I updated just in time for the holiday season. They will be used to display Christmas decorations and more after the holidays are over. This was another quick and easy one for me, or maybe it just seemed that way after the light blue dresser I just did 🤣
I planned on adding a gold pattern wallpaper to the back, but after I added the hardware I decided to keep it simple with just plain white.

These bookshelves were so easy, especially after the last two. They are big to start with, but after adding the legs they seem huge to me. And they are solid!
This was my first time using this color which always makes me nervous, but I will defiantly use it again. I wondered if I should add another shelf and detailing wax to these, but I think I like them as is. What do you think?

This dresser….
If this dresser could talk I bet it could tell some crazy stories. I have a few, and it’s only been with me for a couple months.
Starting with: I found a hidden compartment in the bottom, only because I heard something banging around. Turns out it was a set of handcuffs. 🤷🏻‍♀️
I didn’t realize from the photos that it was missing the top. It was also missing the base of one of the drawers, the other two drawers were falling apart. And the bottom drawer was broken and not functional. Not to mention it smelled horrible.
Talk about buyers remorse.
With every set back I ran to Home Depot to look for a solution. I couldn’t get the drawers to slide properly no matter how much sanding I did, and how much oil I added.
I had issues with the hardware which started with me ordering silver and receiving gold. I went through multiple containers of wood glue and wood filler on repairs. I had to plan and replan so many times. And so many times I thought “should I just throw it in a dumpster?”
But I kept going despite all the set backs, and in the end I think it turned out beautiful!
These pieces that challenge me, teach me. And they end up being some of my favorites because they’re usually unique.

This dresser was the easier of the two I previously posted. My goal was to have both pieces done before I moved so they could be moved straight to the storage unit (and not by me). This one was ready. The other one wasn’t even close.
This is the dresser that the drawers flew open when moved. They would slide open even when I wasn’t moving it. Two of the feet broke off when I was loading it. There were so many holes in the wood I went through multiple small containers of wood filler.
Originally, I wanted to sand & stain the top but there were so many repairs done I didn’t think it would stain properly.
I decided to keep it more simple with this one and add light waxing around the edges.
All in all I love how it turned out.

I’ve been working on these two dressers off and on for over two months. Partially because of the move, and partially because out of frustration I had to walk away for a minute.
I got these two for next to nothing and regretted them before I even loaded them onto my dolly. They were so beat up, missing pieces, and literally falling apart. I kept asking myself “why are you even taking these” not to mention I was in a bad part of town and by myself. (Thank god for share location) As I loaded them into my truck and pieces broke off, and drawers flew open and hit me in the head I thought “just leave them here”
Now that they are both complete I’m glad I didn’t. Both of these pieces have taught me new skills, and reminded me to never give up. There’s always another option. (Especially the bottom one)

Hey everyone!
I recently moved again (which is why I’ve been MIA) and had all my painted pieces and a number of accessories moved to a storage unit to sell from there, instead of my home.
Here they are loaded up safely and ready for me to transport. 🚛
Much to my surprise so far I’m loving selling them from the storage unit. I can freely give out the location address without worry, and no longer worry about who is coming to my home.
I’ve always loved the convenience of having every aspect of my business at my home, but sometimes life gives us lemons 🍋 and we MUST make lemonade

This shelf was super beat up, but it was solid so I decided to take it when it was offered to me. I had a couple ideas for this “Rustic Bar” but they weren’t inspiring me so, I defaulted to Pinterest. I typed in rustic bar and immediately saw it. So many pictures came up of black painted bars with wood accents and it was decided. I even had the wood 🪵 printed wallpaper already! I purchased it years ago for another project but never used it. 🎉
I think this would be perfect for a man cave. What do you think?

It’s been a while since I painted with a metallic color so I thought it was time.
ALLL that beautiful detail took a couple days to wax, and then hand paint, but I love how this buffet turned out. SOLD
