Hose length matters.

This forklift was recently re-hosed, but the lines were built too long — causing them to jump rollers and damage components within weeks.

In forklift applications, precision is critical. Thermoplastic twin-lines require exact measurements, and 1 & 2 wire braided hose must account for stretch — often shortening 4–6 inches to maintain proper tension and alignment.

New rollers and correctly sized hydraulic lines are on the way to get this unit back to reliable operation. 💪

It’s always great working with customers who understand the importance of replacing hydraulic hoses at the end of their service life. 👏

Most hoses are rated for around 500,000 impulse cycles (some up to 1 million), but inner tube breakdown isn’t always visible. Over time, permeation can lead to leaks—and internal rubber debris can clog valves and pickup screens, causing pump starvation. 💥
