Spirit Airlines
This is a public service announcement for all people who have travel plans and have booked your flight with spirit airlines you might want to rebook if you don’t have time. Our flight was scheduled at 11:31 on Wednesday July 10th. The flight left at 12.40 am which was 70 minutes late when we got seated the pilot assured us that he would be making up time in flight so anybody that has a connecting flight should be fine. Well we were far from fine as we were off boarding our flight the next gate to us was loading up which was ours, we were under the impression they were waiting for us as we got off the plane our plane was taxing for take off. We went to the Spirit customer service at the gate and she informed us that our flight had left and we should have been on time. So at this point we were frustrated but we figured if they left us they would have another plan in place for us because this must happen often. Well we were wrong again, they then proceeded to tell us that they had no flights going to Orlando or Florida in general until Saturday and that it would be a stand by not a guarantee. So we then told them this is unacceptable and our trip wouldn’t even be possible as we were supposed to be returned Sunday morning at 5am and our vacation wouldn’t even be possible. They didn’t care and told us that they weren’t willing to help us out. We then said that we just wanted a flight back to Vegas because we were unable to book a last minute flight from another airline due to cost. They then told us we would not be able to get all 4 of us on the same flight home and that it would be a stand by over the next couple days. After waiting in the airport for almost 15 hours we finally found a flight(though Delta Airlines) that was able to get us back but we had to go Phoenix and then rent a car back to kingman. The flight was through Delta still more expensive then the entire round trip was supposed to cost through spirit but we had no other option. Through all of this Spirit has still not returned our money and is unwilling to help us even recover any costs for the trip, we also had to cover the costs of the hotel in Orlando for two rooms for 3 nights because we had to cancel the day the hotel was scheduled for.
