First time seeing the GT outside the booth.

Still taped up to protect the fresh paint, but this was the moment the project finally started feeling like a real car. After months of fabrication and bodywork, watching it roll out of the shop for the first time was something special.

Now the countdown begins to have the car finished for Monterey Car Week in August. Hope some of you get to see it there.

For months, we’ve envisioned this moment.

After countless of hours of fabrication and bodywork, the MGB GT is finally wearing Aston Martin Racing Green.

Swipe to see the transformation from primer to base coat to clear.

Seeing the car in color for the first time is incredible.

Our website is officially live!

This is a huge milestone for us and a big step forward for Dell’Aquila Garage.

What started as an idea, building the MGB we always wished existed, is now becoming something much bigger. The site is now live as the home for our current build, our story, our vision, and where future clients can reach out about commissioning a build of their own.

On the site, you can:
• follow the progress of our MGB GT restomod
• explore the details behind the build
• learn more about who we are and why we started this
• and most importantly, submit an inquiry if you’re interested in having us build something for you

We’re building these cars with the goal of creating something that keeps the soul of the original MG, but delivers the performance, reliability, and precision of a modern machine.

This is only the beginning.

Check it out at:

If you’ve been following the build so far, we think you’ll love what’s on there.
And if you’ve ever dreamed about commissioning a build of your own… this is where that conversation starts.

We’ve just reached 4K followers! Thank you for continuing support. We could never have made it without each one of you. ...

This stage is where the car really starts becoming one complete piece instead of a collection of parts.

A lot of hours are going into the details right now, rear valance molded, front end being lined up, fenders welded and blended into the body, gaps being cleaned up, and the roll cage brackets are now welded in with the cage fitted.

The goal with this build has never been to make it look “modified.” It’s to make it look as if it was always supposed to be this way.

This is the kind of work that takes time, but it’s what separates a cool project from a truly clean build.

Getting closer. 👊

The next phase is underway.
The MG is now in final bodywork, getting all the details that make the final result look right.

Front and rear valances being mounted and molded, body panels going on, doors and fenders getting aligned, and all the little fitment work that takes real patience and skill.

This part of the build isn’t flashy, but it matters just as much as everything underneath.
A lot of what makes a car feel “finished” comes down to work like this.

Big appreciation to the guys putting in the time to get it right.

Classic shape, modern shove.
First rolling pull confirms the formula works.

The sound.
The speed.
This MG is awake.
