THREADS OF TRADITION: Yesterday and Today

Quilting is a craft that has roots deeply sown into the heart of America. Early settlers did not discard items, they carefully used bits and pieces of fabric to make quilts and blankets.

The art and craft of combining colors, shapes, and motifs continues.

The museum is pleased to show a display of over 30 quilts loaned by local residents. The designs include double ring, stretch nine point, and quilt made of Raft Race t-shirts.

Threads of Tradition: Yesterday and Today will be on display through August.

For all our past customers that liked our cat, Cry Baby, I wanted to let you know he is doing very well and enjoying being a house cat. He is good friends with our other cat, Tiger, and he rarely will step out on the back porch. Best wishes to all for a very thankful Thanksgiving season. Vicki
