I loved everything from mulching, starting plants from seeds, learning how to split hostas and even the tedious work of pulling weed which I found to be so relaxing and rewarding when you could step back and see the end product. I was never one to dislike weeds; to me a weed was simply a misplaced plant. It’s my belief that interacting with plants and nature help in reducing stress. Gardening beca
me a huge part of my life. It provided me the opportunity of enjoying the smell of things growing in the soil, getting dirty without feeling guilty, and generally taking the time to soak up a little peace and serenity. One of the most delightful things about a garden is the anticipation it provides. This love for planting carried on with me to this day. I loved gardening so much I bought plants almost on a weekly basis but this is primarily because I had a black thumb, it seemed like everything I bought I would kill. My green thumb came only as a result of the mistakes I made while learning to see things from the plant's point of view. A few years back I bought some succulents at the hardware store while working on a DIY home improvement project. To my surprise the succulents and cacti I bought never died and what’s even more amazing is that I still have them and even managed to start new plants from them. From that point on I fell in love with succulents and cacti. Unfortunately I was still in the habit of buying and potting plants on a weekly basis but I quickly ran out of room at my home so I started giving my planters to friends and family members as gifts. Thanks to all of my friends and family members encouragement I was able to start a newly successful business called Green Roots in Glass. I’m excited to show you what I’ve made and look forward to creating new, unique, and easy to care for planters for you in the future. Being one who adores plant life of all kinds, I'm among those who believe that much of the evidence of God's existence has been planted. My wish is to share this great passion with you.
