We are in love with the iconic Boomslang Pool at Villa Spike in Stellenbosch, by our friend and fellow architect Arn Erasmus.

The three-layer glaze creates a jewel-like shimmer underneath the clear water, with light dancing off the hand-glazed Boomslang surface resulting in a truly living body of water.

We’re loving this stunning handmade terracotta tile pattern, formed from raw Midlands clay, interspersed with emerald green shards.
This unique pattern is heading to Kafue, for a beautiful new lodge by .e.g.r.a.l.p.h.s.p.a.c.e.s .

We can’t wait to see these laid on site!

We’re so proud of the stunning pool at the new in Camps Bay.

Representing the transition between the azure Atlantic Ocean and the soft white sand of Camps Bay beach, the surface makes use of the iconic Studio Kalki Fynbos patterning to effect a beautifully contemporary result.

Thank you for the opportunity to create something so unique and special.

We are absolutely in awe of the way this stunning pool came out.

Tiled entirely in our Kalki Ceramics hand-glazed tiles, the pattern represents a transition between the azure ocean water and the white beach sand of Camps Bay, where the iconic Morea House is located.

Thank you for the opportunity to create something so magical for the South African hospitality space.

How stunning are these handmade Terracotta tiles, unglazed in all their raw beauty. These are intended to remain as raw terracotta, celebrating the variance in tone and hue that is so unique to handmade ceramic surfaces.

We’re in love with this magnificent ombré installation heading to London today.
The transition from Gloss Black to Boomslang occurs over four tiles, blending these two glazes beautifully.
So looking forward to seeing this installed!

What a way to kick off 2026!
We’re so excited to see this gorgeous custom screen installed at a special new project by our friends at .t.u.d.i.o.1.9

Shown here are the mounting details and glazed slabs, handmade from 150 pieces of hand-rolled, -textured and -glazed terracotta slabs, this ceramic screen is going to be a stunning feature in an already epic project.

Brass rods and collars complements the glazes, and serve as a perfect material contrast to the raw terracotta surfaces.

These stunning Kilimanjaro tiles are being prepared for glazing, and will eventually head to London.

Sometimes, through the alchemy of glazing, we find absolute magic.
This Starburst Blue is one of the most beautiful blue glazes we’ve ever created, with the variation from tile to tile ensuring that no two pieces are identical. I’m so looking forward to seeing these in their new space!
