El Inglés es una llave que abre las puertas a un mundo de oportunidades, quién no querría tenerla?
EN - when times are good for travelling, volunteering is a great way to do it, especially if you're on a tight budget! It brings you close to people anywhere in the globe and -it goes without saying- it also allows plenty of chances for language practice!
I taught English for a couple of months in the south of Italy, near Naples, some time ago. I did it through and so did two other teachers at the time. The three of us came together at Global Find and had fun teaching Italian students and learning about Italian culture.
The kiddies in the 2nd pic were between 3-5 yo. They didn't speak a word of Spanish and I only knew a few ones in Italian, but we still had two hours of English fun a week!
Types of volunteering jobs go from teaching to gardening with a myriad of other options in between, practically all over the world. Workaway has an annual subscription fee and It helps you connect with other volunteers who'll be in the same area. The good news is that if you choose to travel this way, bed and board will be provided by the host at no cost, of course!
ES - Cuando los tiempos son propicios para viajar, irse de voluntari@ es una buena forma de hacerlo, en especial si el presupuesto es ajustado. Te acerca a la gente en cualquier parte del mundo y -está demás decirlo- te da todas las chances de practicar idiomas!
Hace un tiempo, di unos meses de clase en el sur de Italia, cerca de Nápoles. Hice el contacto através de , una plataforma mediante la que podés contactar personas que necesiten voluntarios. En la escuela me encontré con otras dos profes voluntarias y nos divertimos enseñandole inglés a alumnos italianos y aprendiendo un poco de la cultura italiana.
Los niñitos de la segunda foto tenían entre 3 y 5 años. Ni ellos hablaban una palabra de español ni yo manejaba más que algunas palabras en italiano, pero igual nos divertíamos en inglés dos horas a la semana.
Para los voluntariados, la gente busca desde profes de inglés hasta jardineros, en practicamente todo el mundo. La subscripción a la página tiene un costo anual y también sirve para contactarse con otros voluntarios que estén en la misma zona. La buena noticia es que si elegís esta forma de viajar, tenés cama y comida cubiertas, porque de eso se ocupa el anfitrión.
