ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT (Casual)
Camden Community Centre is seeking a friendly and professional Administration Assistant to be the welcoming face of our Centre.
We are a community-based organisation supporting local clients, members, and volunteers through a range of programs and services. We pride ourselves on providing a respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment.
Role Details
• Position: Administration Assistant
• Hours: 12 hours per week
• Mondays & Wednesdays 9am – 3pm with the potential to expand hours & move to part time once the role is established. Must be flexible in the first instance to suit needs of the Centre as required.
• Award: SCHADS Award (Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services)
About the Role
You will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, providing professional and friendly reception and administrative support across all programs.
Key Duties Include:
• Providing a welcoming first point of contact for clients, visitors, and stakeholders
• Answering phone and email enquiries in a professional and timely manner
• Providing accurate information about Centre services and programs
• Supporting general administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and document preparation
• Assisting with bookings, scheduling, and coordination of Centre activities and programs
• Maintaining reception and office systems, records, and supplies
• Supporting Centre & Community Connections Coordinators with day-to-day administrative and clerical tasks as required
• Ensuring the reception area remains organised, professional, and welcoming
• Assisting with transport of clients to and from the centre for programs when required
About You
You will bring:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A friendly, calm, and professional manner
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Basic computer skills (email, Word, data entry)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
• Ability to drive twelve seater passenger van if required (full training provided)
• Previous reception or customer service experience (desirable but not essential)
• Ability to attend training days & staff meetings when scheduled
Experience in a community, health, or service environment will be highly regarded.
