Aurora Construction Materials is expanding our Melbourne concrete agitator fleet and we’re currently inviting expressions of interest from experienced Lorry Owner Drivers (LODs) who own a concrete agitator truck (or are able to procure their own). Our 3rd Generation Cartage Agreement (just released) forms the backbone of this fantastic opportunity.

We invite you to partner with a growing construction materials business supplying major projects across Victoria. We offer consistent work, with strong industry relationships.

In recognition of ANZAC Day and the observed public holiday, Aurora Construction Materials will be closed on Saturday 25th April (customer service centre, production facilities and quarry/concrete deliveries).

We take this time to honour and remember the service and sacrifice of those who have served our country. Lest we forget. We will resume normal operations on Monday 27th April 2026.

Every cloud has a silver lining.

The cloud:

In the coming months, we will be saying goodbye to our much-loved Concrete Field Manager, Jairo. Since joining Aurora in early 2022, Jairo has held a number of roles, most recently leading the field operations across Aurora’s concrete plant network.

Following the arrival of their first child late last year, Jairo and his immediate family will return to their native Colombia to be closer to their extended family. While we will miss him greatly, we fully support this next chapter.

The silver lining:

Jairo’s departure presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced operations leader to step into a role that will grow and evolve alongside our business. The position offers genuine autonomy and the opportunity to shape performance, culture, and growth across our multi-site concrete operations.

The role will also provide direct support to our project team as they commission our new Beveridge concrete plant and lead our batching continuous improvement program, particularly for complex concrete application markets.

We're gearing up for a strong start to 2026.

While our Customer Service Centre on 13 22 61 (13 ACM 1) reopens Monday morning, customers can book concrete orders in advance for Monday deliveries via email.

Please email your concrete requirements to [email protected] by 5:00pm on Sunday 4th January.

Our team will review your request and respond with a confirmation email ahead of Monday.

We look forward to supplying your projects with concrete, quarry materials and building supplies (more on this soon.....) in 2026!

At Aurora Construction Materials, we know how challenging the past few months have been. After an unusually wet and disruptive September, October and November, many projects across Melbourne are still pushing to make up time.

To support our customers, we’re extending our availability this Christmas and New Year period. Our team will be working through until Monday 22nd December 2025 (with the morning of Tuesday 23rd December open by prior appointment) and we’ll be back early in the new year on Monday 5th January 2026.

It’s a shorter shutdown than usual, but it’s the right one - ensuring our customers have the materials and support they need to keep their construction projects progressing.

Here’s to drier days and safer, more productive sites this December and January!
