I want to pay tribute to Elaine Ingham, whose pioneering work in soil microbiology changed our understanding of the relationship between plants, soil and the environment. Elaine developed the soil food web concept in her scientific research that inspired a movement of farmers, back yard gardeners, science and regenerative agriculture. Her research helped build a popular demand for sustainable, regenerative agricultural practices that continues to grow today. Thank you Elaine.

Living soil cultivation at scale in action in Australia! I paid a visit to the Superbly Green team in the Byron Hinterlands and was so impressed. Really efficient commercial cultivation operation that is completely organic as well as regenerative. Some awesome regenerative practices are used like strategic placement and selection trap and banker plants and one of the most impressive composting setups I've ever seen, closing a loop on biomass waste and providing a rich food source for the soil.

Took in the most up to date science based info from world leading experts in soil fertility, watering and irrigation, IPM, greenhouse environment and more. Thanks to for putting on a top notch event and the team at for hosting it at their impressive living soil facility.

A view of under-canopy management in a living soil medicinal plant facility successfully using Easy As Organics Living Soil, Blumat irrigation and raised beds. All watering is automated and supplied by rain. Soil is tested every cycle, inoculated and amended. Crops are healthy and yielding consistently each cycle. Great job team!

8 Days of Solid Growth! 🌱🔥

These basil, tomato, and marigold seedlings were planted just 8 days ago, and they’re off to a strong start in the Grassroots Living Soil Fabric Pot. The new soil mix is holding moisture really well while still showing awesome drainage properties.

One of the biggest upgrades in this batch is the NASAA Certified Organic Compost we selected. The lab tests came back showing low sodium, chloride, and heavy metals, which makes it a solid choice for medicinal plants. So far, it’s proving to be a clean, balanced, living input that’s helping these seedlings take off.

Kicking off a new trial at a bigger scale next week to show off the new soil. Stay posted.

The strawberries are loving the warmer weather and are taking to the soil well. It was cool to check the pot today to find a few ripening strawberries along with some mushrooms fruiting from the woodchips. 🍄 🍓
