Vitrocsa Australia

Vitrocsa Australia The inventor of the modern minimalist window. The glass became its own structural element. He had inverted the conventional construction principle.

In 1992, Swiss watchmaker and mechanical engineer Eric Joray applied watchmaking discipline to window design, creating a system that technologically and aesthetically revolutionised the world of architecture. He designed an ingenious bearing system and concealed the daring micro-mechanics within flush tracks, across which glass could effortlessly slide. Vitrocsa Australia extrudes and manufactures

locally to Swiss and Australian standards. The bespoke system can be designed with Sliding, Guillotine, Pivot and Turnable products and is tailored for each individual project. Using the original Vitrocsa principles and in partnership with the Swiss team, Vitrocsa Australia adapted and refined Eric Joray’s original system to accommodate the warmth of the southern hemisphere, resulting in unique solutions that have now been adopted globally. Vitrocsa is represented in Australasia exclusively in-house by a dedicated, highly trained team, with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Noosa and Christchurch.
