A very special set of HNT Gordon moulding planes in ringed gidgee.

There is something wonderful about a matched set like this. The figure in the timber, the brass wedges, the steel, the shaping and the repetition all come together in a way that feels more like a legacy piece than a simple tool set.

Our special moulding plane sets are custom made, with timber selection and plane combinations carefully considered for each customer. They are made to be used, admired, maintained and hopefully passed on.

We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Raf Nathan.

Raf made an extraordinary contribution to woodworking in Australia through Australian Wood Review and the Timber & Working with Wood Show, and his influence will be felt for many years to come.

We extend our sincere condolences to Linda, his family, and all who knew and loved him.

Rest in peace, Raf.

We love the way gidgee catches the light and shows off those flowing lines across the jack and A*5 planes. Ergonomics is not just comfort, it is a big part of what makes a tool beautiful to use.

Punching the brand into the noses of some very special ringed gidgee side rounds this week when the figure turned at exactly the wrong moment and the noses let go in Chris's hands. Tiny patch of end grain, no mercy.

They won't be wasted. Four handsome wedges on the horizon.

Not every step in hand tool making goes to plan but a beautiful run of dado planes helped lift the mood and next week is looking very Pink indeed.

Super rare, absolutely collectable, outstanding workmanship and true beauties. This set of six Harold &Saxon bevel edge chisels was here to greet me today and as a lover of ringed gidgee it was fun taking these photos.

Handles all from the same tree and all for the same purpose: clean joinery every day. Trent has outdone himself as always. Enjoy the eye candy.
