Siniat’s metal framing products are proudly manufactured at our roll-forming plant in Beenleigh, QLD, using premium steel from BlueScope with a ZINCALUME® AM 150 coating for superior corrosion resistance.

In our manufacturing process, is our number one priority – from rigorous equipment checks and strict forklift control to ongoing training.

The journey of Siniat metal profiles begins with loading steel coils onto production lines, followed by forming, cutting, punching, stacking, and packing. The finished products are then ready for distribution to customers across Australia.

But who better to walk us through our metal manufacturing process than the person who knows it inside out – our Plant Manager, Steve Bean?

A wide range of Siniat’s plasterboard products has been certified to GreenRate Level A under the Global GreenTag’s scheme.

Achieving GreenTag certification requires full disclosure of every product ingredient and the process. Independent auditors assess the products across a range of attributes including toxicity, safety and environmental and social responsibility in manufacturing operations.

Having GreenTag certification makes it easier for customers to trust our claims. It simplifies product research and the specification process and minimizes risk.

❓What happens in a factory?

❗Well, quite a lot actually!

1️⃣The manufacture of plasterboard starts with processing of gypsum in the plastermill, where gypsum is ground, and converted to stucco by extracting water (as vapour) under a calcination process.
2️⃣The stucco is mixed with water and additives, with the resultant slurry sandwiched between two layers of continuous paper. The board sets via rehydration of the plaster core whereby water molecules chemically re-bind back into gypsum crystals in the board.
3️⃣The plasterboard is moved via conveyor to the cutting station where it is cut to length before it enters the drying process.
4️⃣After drying, the plasterboard sheets are stacked into packs, and moved to the warehouse for storage, ready for distribution.

With so many moving parts and forklifts in operation, is always our highest priority!

Siniat plasterboard is manufactured in our factories Bundaberg (QLD), Altona (VIC), Matraville (NSW) and Hazelmere (WA).

Did you know that Siniat’s timber nogging bracket makes installing in steel stud walls quicker, easier and safer?
The nogging brackets are made from galvanised steel and supplied in 2400mm lengths. They are made with the same 0.75mm thickness as Siniat’s nogging tracks and can be used with 12mm to 18mm timber when wide timber noggings are required behind the plasterboard to support face-fixed items, e.g. towel rails, handrails, cupboards etc.

✅Saves Time and Labour: Purpose-made solution that's easy to cut to the required length on site.
✅Improves safety: No need to pick offcuts from metal scrap to custom-make brackets as required
✅Flexibility: Tailor the length according to application needs

🔥 Did you know Weather Defence® can help protect homes in bushfire zones? 🏘️

Siniat’s rigid air barrier board, Weather Defence, is best known for its use behind facade cladding in rainscreen and ventilated facade systems, but it has another powerful application.

Weather Defence can be used to wrap an entire building - including walls, roof and eaves - to help protect occupants during a bushfire.

Another smart solution from Siniat The One designed to minimise risk and enhance resilience!

Mould isn't picky.

It only needs two conditions to thrive: moisture and a food source, which may be as minimal as a bit of dust.

But once mould takes hold within a building’s structure, the consequences can escalate quickly. From structural deterioration to poor indoor air quality and occupant health issues, the impacts can be significant.

In our latest whitepaper, published in partnership with Architecture & Design we take a look at forming in the system, and how ventilated facades are effective at keeping moisture and mould risk in high-rise buildings at bay.

Talk about a room with a view! 🤩 😍

The One Circular Quay project in Sydney is well underway, and Phil Collett and Paul Manks from our team visited the site where full Siniat and systems are currently being installed.

This landmark residential project overlooking Sydney Harbour is nearing completion, and will stand over 200m tall.

Phil and Paul had a sneak peak of the works in the top penthouse and the underground swimming pool in what will soon be Sydney’s address to be!

Lendlease is the builder and developer, with Sydney Projects being the subcontractor. Our channel partner, Plastamasta Granville, is supplying.

Another powerful example of how Siniat works alongside industry partners to help shape Sydney through landmark projects that leave a lasting legacy!
