Fun Fact: Adrenaline ju**ie. With many solo skydives under his belt, a love of roller coasters, car racing, and pretty much anything that elevates the heart rate and introduces an element of risk, sitting still isn’t really his thing.
Enjoys after hours: Spending time with family, all forms of four-wheel motorsport, hiking, and climbing.
Side hustle: Passive income investments.
What he loves about his job: Helping others reach their full potential and mentoring people who reach out looking for guidance, whether that’s in business, the automotive industry, or life in general.
What he dislikes about our industry: Hearing people undervalue themselves and their contribution. “I’m just the apprentice” or “I’m just a mechanic.”
You’re not just anything.
This industry keeps Australia moving. Every vehicle repaired, serviced, diagnosed, calibrated, delivered, and maintained contributes to the economy functioning as it should. Without skilled technicians, workshops, parts suppliers, drivers, and support staff, things grind to a halt very quickly.
Know your worth. Charge accordingly. The automotive industry has been undervalued for far too long, despite being one of the most essential industries in the country.
The next time you hear someone say they’re “just a mechanic” or “just an apprentice”, remind them that without skilled tradespeople, Australia stops moving.
