SafeGauge’s Naldo Caro recently travelled to Brazil to catch up with our servicing and distribution partner BESC and continue growing the SafeGauge presence across the Brazilian mining industry.

During the trip, Naldo spent time working alongside the BESC team on customer support, sales activities, and opportunities for future growth across the region.

The trip also included visits to Mina do Pico and Mina do Fabrica, where discussions focused on tool applications, customer feedback, future demonstrations, and how SafeGauge wireless testing tools can help improve safety, reliability, and productivity during maintenance activities.

It was great to see the strong interest in SafeGauge solutions and continue building relationships with mining teams across Brazil.

Using the SafeGauge Wireless Dial Indicator? Here are a few simple tips to help you get accurate, reliable results every time 👇

• Keep within the spindle’s travel range to protect the instrument
• Apply a light preload (1–2mm) to keep readings stable
• Zero the tool before each measurement for a clear starting point
• Use the DI to measure movement, not to apply force
• Make sure the contact tip and surface are clean
• Release the magnetic base before removing the tool
• Check the LED indicators to quickly confirm device status

Get these basics right, and you’ll improve accuracy, repeatability, and confidence in your measurements. With SafeGauge, you can monitor everything from up to 100m away, keeping you out of the line of fire while capturing clear, real-time data.
