R value is a measurement of a material’s resistance to heat flow. The higher the R value, the greater the material’s thermal insulating performance, helping slow conductive heat transfer more effectively.
As insulation technology has evolved, so too have expectations around handling comfort, air quality, environmental impact, and material composition onsite. Traditional insulation products have long been associated with airborne irritant fibres, dust generation, and chemical binders that can create uncomfortable handling conditions.
