Markets shift. Building technology leads.

Ongoing geopolitical tensions, energy market volatility, and persistent inflationary pressures continue to shape global markets. In this environment, capital is not retreating, it is reallocating, moving toward resilient, scalable, and essential infrastructure. This is where NXT is positioned.

Traditional construction models remain exposed to rising input costs, labour shortages, and financing pressures from higher interest rates. NXT’s technology platform has been designed to operate through precisely these conditions. By enabling rapid deployment, with structural lock up in days and completion in weeks, alongside engineered cost certainty, localised manufacturing, and reduced reliance on traditional labour, NXT addresses the key constraints facing the sector today.

NXT does not operate as a builder. NXT licenses its globally patented structural building system, enabling scalable deployment across regions through a capital light model. This supports global expansion, aligns with government led housing and infrastructure demand, and represents a fundamentally different model for the built environment.

This is not cyclical, it is structural. As geopolitical uncertainty persists and pressure on housing supply and infrastructure delivery intensifies globally, the demand for faster, more predictable, and scalable building systems will continue to grow.

NXT is built for this environment.

Because the world doesn’t stop building, it demands a better way to do it.

This video is a great example of how the NXT® Building System can not only build new homes quicker and more efficiently than traditional construction, but is a clear testament to how much onsite waste is reduced through offsite manufacturing and onsite assembly.

One finished, our latest home in Anketell, which is being delivered by our licensee, NXT Builds Pty Ltd , will feature an open-plan living, kitchen and dining room, three bedrooms and two bathrooms as well as a separate independent living area with its own bedroom, ensuite and kitchenette.

Work is progressing well on the latest project by our licensee NXT Builds Pty Ltd in Anketell.

This home comprises 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a double garage, and open-plan living, kitchen and dining, together with an independent living section featuring 1 bedroom, an ensuite, and its own living/kitchenette area. It is another example of how advanced building technology can help address Australia’s ongoing housing shortage.

With all components manufactured offsite and assembled onsite, the NXT® Building System delivers faster construction, greater efficiency, and significantly reduced onsite waste compared to traditional building methods.

With the RBA raising interest rates for the second consecutive month, this most recent rate rise puts additional pressure on the government’s mandate to deliver 1.2 million new homes by 2029 as higher interest rates not only increase the cost of building new homes, but make it more difficult to finance new homes.

Further, the median house prices in six of the seven capital cities have now edged above $1 million, making it even more difficult for first time homebuyers to get a foot in the market.

It's clear that the Australian housing crisis isn’t going away anytime soon, and the industry cannot afford to rely on outdated construction methods.

At NXT TEC., we firmly believe that technology, such as the NXT® Building System, is the solution to the housing crisis. This technology lowers cost throughout the housing lifecycle, by minimising materials and reducing delays, making it faster than ever to build a home. It’s critical that we reduce the barriers to entry for both building and owning new homes in order to solve this crisis.

Australia's housing crisis has hit a grim milestone: national median house prices exceed $1M for the first time, effectively locking out a generation of aspiring homeowners.

A recent Westpac report highlights the severity, confirming a chronic undersupply that's 25 years in the making. With low listings and a struggle to find properties that meet needs, the government’s ambitious target of 1.2 million homes by 2029 is now deemed "unachievable". Traditional construction methods are struggling to scale amidst rising costs and risks, leaving countless Australians feeling the dream of homeownership is slipping away.

The urgent need for new solutions is clear. At NXT TEC., we believe advanced building systems hold the key to accelerating this timeline. Our innovative technology is designed to build homes significantly faster and more efficiently.

But, this isn't just about speed. It’s about rapidly boosting housing supply to address Australia's critical undersupply. By enabling quicker project completion and scalable production, NXT TEC. is directly tackling the issues locking Australians out of home ownership.

In Australia, a recent report commissioned by the federal government into the Victorian branch of the CFMEU found a history of corruption, particularly around procurement and compliance, which the report found cost the Victorian taxpayer around $15 billion.

However, while corruption in construction is one part of the problem, the broader challenge in the residential construction industry is systemic inefficiency and the resistance to change.

In comparison to sectors such as manufacturing and mining, residential construction has significantly underperformed because it still relies on fragmented processes, site-based labour and legacy procurement models. This reluctance to adopt new technologies, beyond surface-level digitalisation has significantly slowed progress.

Unsurprisingly, this isn’t just an Australian issue, but rather a global issue. Construction productivity has lagged for decades now while other industries have industrialised, automated and vertically integrated. Housing shortages, cost blowouts and project delays are symptoms of a deeper problem.

The real opportunity lies in shifting from traditional onsite methods to technology-driven, manufacturing-led building systems, such as NXT TEC.'s NXT® Building System Technology. That’s where meaningful productivity gains will come.

Australia’s housing crisis needs a new way to build.

Australia is falling behind. By 2029, we could be more than 250,000 homes short of the Federal Government’s target. Traditional construction is too slow, too expensive, and can’t keep up with demand.

At NXT TEC. Ltd, we’re tackling this challenge with technology-led construction. Our NXT® Building System moves design, engineering, and manufacturing offsite into a controlled environment, producing precision-built components that are rapidly assembled onsite by a small, skilled team. No scaffolding. No welding. Faster builds. Safer sites. Predictable results.

A two-storey, dual key project in Anketell utilising the NXT® Building System demonstrates this in action.

In these images, you can also see the full build journey unfold, from slab preparation, to walls going up, through structural lock-up, and finally the completed home.

The phased assembly highlights how the NXT® Building System combines precision offsite manufacturing with rapid on site installation. The result? Faster builds, safer worksites, and a scalable solution designed to deliver the homes Australians urgently need.

This is what modern construction looks like.

NXT TEC. Ltd is proud to be a sponsor of the world’s largest and most iconic Batmobile, which recently took centre stage at Langley Park as part of the City of Perth’s Hancock Prospecting Australia Day celebrations.

Hosted by the Madalyn Children's Foundation, the "Children’s Guardian Batmobile Tumbler" was the centrepiece of a public showcase dedicated to raising life-saving funds for 24-month-old Aria Rain Brooks, who is facing a serious and life-threatening medical condition requiring complex brain surgery overseas - treatment not available in Australia.

The Batmobile experience included photo opportunities and meet-and-greets with the Foundation’s talented ‘Catwomen’ team, made up of performing arts students from John Curtin College and graduates progressing to WAPPA.

Thank you to everyone who donated to this incredibly important cause. We are pleased to share that Aria’s surgery has been successful, and she is now receiving ongoing treatment.

Further donations are warmly encouraged, with every dollar contributing toward Aria’s post-operative medical care: https://www.madalyn-childrensfoundation.org.au/donate-now
