After her husband passed, 74-year-old Terezihna Augustine bought a Silky Saw to help with the upkeep of her property in the backwoods of Wisconsin. Over the past two years, "Zihna" has cut up seven trees that have fallen near her home and also cut down a few additional trees.

“Most were 20-25' tall staghorn sumacs,” said Zihna. “I cut them down and make logs with my Silky. I use it for pruning and cutting. Yesterday, I cut down a box elder tree that was about 20 feet tall. It took a while, mostly because I had to rest a bit. But I got the job done in about 20 minutes. I love my Silky saw. I would like to get another, bigger one. But the one I have is amazing!”

"I got a Silky "PocketBoy" folding saw for a test🪚
This is a saw from the Outback Edition range.
A year ago, the guys from the European representative office of the Silky brand sent me a "BigBoy" with a canvas length of 36 cm for a test. I liked the quality of it☺
Now I'm testing the "Pocket Boy", where the canvas is 17 cm long.

In the Outback Edition, the handles are made of wood-plastic composite. I like the discreet color combination and the bluing finish.

"PocketBoy" is equipped with a plastic case.
The saw blade is made of carbon tool steel SK4, which is sharpened inside.
Therefore, sawing with such saws takes place on oneself. This is important so as not to damage the teeth of the saw.

In addition to the saw, there was a branded Silky rubber case with a belt attachment. It is well suited for long hikes.

If I use the "BigBoy" saw mainly for large logs.
The compact "PocketBoy" is convenient for small-scale work, for example: cutting down a branch, making a small cut, etc.
And with a belt case always at hand."
