little job from a big lump of ally. An a/c compressor bracket for a BMW E30 project car being built by Pete over
Destined for an M54 engine, but not available as a standard fit up, Pete decided this build deserved some air, so went about modelling up a bracket, 3D printed some prototypes and then came to see us at to see what I could do for him. A bit of massaging for machinability, a few curves tweaked here and there, and she was ready to gouge out of a big lump of billet.
Another axis would have been handy, but the NHX 4000 worked a champ getting around some angles in the first Op with vices and risers holding on tight. All the harder work done it was 2 more 3 axis setups in the vertical to get it done.
Looking forward to seeing it fitted up.
