We asked Lavan, from Crystal Queensland, to create an ice sculpture bear for my grand-daughters birthday. The end result was amazing & was loved by the whole family. I would strongly recommend anyone needing an ice sculpture to contact Lavan at Crystal Queensland.

Dear family & friends,

QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute in Brisbane, is currently seeking volunteers to participate in a genetic study for Parkinson's Disease https://www.qimrberghofer.edu.au/apgs/ . The process is fairly quick & simple, participants need only provide a saliva sample & complete a short survey. There are no costs for the participants, only your time. Please help with this valuable research & hope that a cure can be found for this debilitating disease.

A pair of Double-Bar finches nested in some of the shrubs around our house, so I started putting seed out for them. The problem was that the Indian Minas, Doves & Pigeons would scare them away. I tried getting small bird hanging feeders, but the larger birds kept knocking them down to get the seeds. Then I decided to get something to put the feeders in & keep the larger birds out. Problem was solved with the purchase of a large dog cage, the little finches can get in, but not the larger birds. We often now get more than a dozen Double-Bars coming at a time.

Today, we even had a pair of Chestnut Breasted Mannikins come for a feed.

Received a CherryMax G704B rivet gun in my workshop that requires new seals. These tools are a magnificent piece of American tool quality & ingenuity. All stripped down & waiting for the go-ahead to make it all good again.

I received a couple of McDonald jack hammers in my shop for service. It seems that they went for a bit of a swim in salt water. Maybe they needed to cool down?

Moisture in your air lines will do damage to the internals of your air tools. Remember to have good water traps and regularly drain your air compressor & air lines.
