NSIDE HARRY'S HEAD: Good Intentions

I've had several people over the years remark to me "Harry, is what I'm doing make me a nut job, or does it make sense to keep going with it " ? My answer has always been no matter what your intentions are, if they are true to you, if they involve love and devotion to help others and help you grow, keep going with it. If your intention is a veil for self interest and greed, then that intent will be ultimately self destructive.
Good intentions and doing good from those intentions can only materialize if the intent is honest. The saying that the road to hell is paved with good intentions is really just another way of saying a good intent can be contaminated with greed, fear and self interest. Nearly all religions have good intentions written into them, the problem is they are written for humans that by their very nature will alter and distort them.

Inside Harry's Head: Wearing Masks - Nothing New !

I have always thought that reality has a way of seeping through from the subconscious and nothing could be more true with the wearing of masks. We have always worn masks to either hide or publish things about ourselves. Most people that think themselves as teachers wear them to elevate themselves above those they feel need learning. Parents wear them to enforce authority and control over their kids. Politicians wear them so they can swap what they represent from one thing to the next and tell lies under them.Some of us wear them to protect our delicate egos or perceptions of ourselves. Now masks represent responsibility - an action made to protect ourselves from the unseen virus that would harm or possibly kill us. So masks are nothing new. I just wish more people, myself included, were more aware of when they are wearing them. My greatest anguish is meeting people that wear several masks at once. Their true character is so muffled like their voice under all those masks. I think to myself, who the heck am I talking too. Some times I've tried to rip a few off but that just comes out as sarcasm and that's doesn't help. So now I'm heading to the bathroom for a shower, and removing my own mask. As always,it feels good.

I have to wonder how much happiness I have laying around the house. Stuff hanging in the shed, in draws, cupboards, on clothes hangers. It's happiness that never lasts long so it gets put away. Then it's time to get more gadgets and stuff. But what really makes me happy the longest is creating stuff - and making a mess in the process. Now that's happiness.

Hazza: Life Strategist,,

Recent Case: Neighbour walks uninvited into clients back yard shed and tells teenage girls to keep the music down (before the curfew time on weekends)..

ZEN: Remain calm. Your residential space has been invaded so you are naturally in ALERT MODE and PROTECTION MODE.

Strategies: It's best in this instance to ask the neighbour politely to follow you outside and deal with his complaint first - then remind him that it's not appropriate for him to be just wandering into other neighbours back yards without notice.

The main cause of conflict with problem neighbours is not being able to resolve issues. Then tit-for-tat incidents can quickly escalate the problem you have with them. The best strategy is working with them to reach a compromise. If you have tried this and they become detached or confrontational just avoid rather than react. I myself had friendly neighbours for over 15 years that become difficult because they thought we had not invited them to a family event - so try not to get to close personally with your neighbours,, it can lead to problems you never thought possible.

Zing: If all else fails, just move. Your home is your place of sanctuary, where you can relax. There is no point of being in a battle with people at the heart of your temple.
