We spend our days helping people build places to sit.
A sandstone bench under a tree.
A terrace that catches the last light.
A courtyard where a cup of coffee becomes twenty minutes.
After 16 years, I’ve learned the stone is never really the point.
The point is what happens when someone finally stops, breathes, and stays a while.
My wife, mezzo-soprano ARMINÉ, understands this better than anyone.
On 27 November she’s bringing opera and her own songs to ACO On The Pier at Walsh Bay.
It’s just a piano, a trumpet and her voice in one intimate room.
She calls it Come Sit With Me.
I’ll be there, in the seat I’ve been saving.
If you’ve been meaning to slow down, this might be your evening.
