One of the most common fencing mistakes is drilling a hole that’s too loose.
If you’re putting in timber posts, especially in hard or variable ground, a penetrator does something an auger never will — it compacts the soil instead of removing it.
That means:
• The dirt stays in the hole
• The post doesn’t wander or go off-line
• No back-ramming loose soil
• Faster, tighter, cleaner installs
You put in a pilot hole, line the post up, hit it, and you’re done.
