A Moment for Reflection
ANZAC Day stands as one of the most significant days in our national story. It’s a time when Australians and New Zealanders pause to honour the men and women who served, suffered, and sacrificed in conflicts and peacekeeping missions across the world. From the shores of Gallipoli to the many places our Defence personnel have stood since, ANZAC Day reminds us of courage, resilience, and the quiet strength of ordinary people who faced extraordinary circumstances.
It’s also a moment for reflection. A chance to step back from the rush of daily life and consider the freedoms we enjoy, the cost at which they were earned, and the responsibility we carry to uphold the values of mateship, fairness, and community. Whether we gather at a dawn service, stand in silence, or simply take a quiet moment to ourselves, ANZAC Day invites us to remember—not just the history, but the humanity behind it.
Lest we forget.
