Planning a getaway on K’gari over the next few months? Here’s what you need to know!
June to August is birthing time for dingo pups, which means 🐾
🐾 Male and female dingoes may become more aggressive to protect their pups.
🐾 Female dingoes will be on the hunt to feed themselves and their pups.
🐾 Alpha mothers are very domineering at this stage, even killing another mother’s pups if she has mated with one of the pack.
🐾 Alpha males and pack members will take on the role of caring for the pups.
🐾 Drive slowly and watch out for dingoes on the beach and in the bush to keep them safe.
When visiting K’gari it’s important to be dingo-safe to reduce your risk of a dingo attack.
