Q. What do you get if you follow the trail (er)?

A. Tool Librarian Paul and our brand new 7’ x 5’ trailer which was recently funded by the Gippsland Community Foundation through a successful grant!

The great thing about this trailer is the built-in ramp for loading on heavy equipment safely. We have fitted a hand winch for loading/unloading to make things easier.

Thank you Gippsland Community Foundation 😀.

If we can persuade Paul to step away from the trailer, its available for loan!

By way of peer review, our very own Dr Dave has given the Rug Doctor a thorough health check and reckons his s**g has never been better piled!

Carpets needed freshening up? The Mallacoota and District Tool Library is open for business from 9-11 am Thursdays and 10 am to 12 pm Saturdays. We’re located in the big grey shed at 96 Bastion Point Road.

*Borrowers will need to purchase the required cleaning fluids from the Tool Library.

When community helps community good stuff happens 😀.

We’d really love it if you’d consider dropping off your 10 cent recyclable cans and bottles to our new purpose built receptacle at the Tool Library. The Tool Librarian volunteers will do the rest of the work….

Tool Library Pres Dave is pictured demonstrating one of the many hand holds you can use when placing cans in the container. He is a big fan of the double handed drop but you could also consider the lob, the back hand and underarm bowling (particularly if your name is Trevor 😳)

All proceeds go towards the ongoing supply of tools and equipment available through Tool Library membership.

You know its time to act when:
* You cant see the grass for the grass.
* The M-I-L brings a scythe to get to your front door.
* The cat - expressing displeasure in the way only cats can - makes it clear that having to wade through the jungle is impeding progress to its dinner bowl.

And - perhaps most hurtful of all - council sends you a letter telling you to clean up your yard ELSE….

Can a cutting remark lead to a remarkable cut? Nope.

But being a member of the Tool Library can 😀.

Funding from the Mallacoota Community Bank has enabled us to purchase more instruments of grass destruction including the whipper snipper wielded by urbane Tool Librarian Peter beneath. Thank you Community Bank.

When community helps community, good things happen…

We are again very grateful to the Mallacoota Community Bank for a grant which will enable us to buy additional tools. A win for our members and community overall. To this end, we encourage you to support our locally owned bank.

ANZAC DAY OPENING HOURS

The Mallacoota and District Tool Library will open from 2-4 pm on Anzac Day in lieu of our normal Saturday opening hours of 10 am to 12 pm.

The Tool Library will also be open on Thursday 23rd April from 9-11 am.
