When the founder of Bio Products, Dieter Groening, migrated to Australia from Germany, he didn’t like the petrochemical based paints that were sold in Australia. He knew there were better products which were not only better performing but also better for people’s health and their indoor environment. Dieter started to import Natural Paints and Natural Oils from Germany in 1985. Over time he transformed his import busines to an import/manufacturing business with the guidance of German paint technology. All Bio Products are now manufactured in South Australia, using Australian ingredients wherever possible. Dieter retired in 2015, and his son Ulf (pronounced like wolf, but with a silent W) now manages the Bio Products factory.
Manufacturing in Australia is of course a far more sustainable, environmental arrangement, because the paints and oils do not have a large travel footprint. The other benefit is that the Bio Products range of Natural Paints and Oils are designed and tested to suit Australian homes.
The range of Bio Natural Paints promote a healthy indoor air quality, and are recommended by Building Biologists. When you consider the materials used to build your home, generally natural materials such as clay bricks, timber, plaster board, clay roof tiles, and gyprock are high on the list of most used materials. These are all natural, breathable materials. It is unwise to coat these natural, breathable materials with a petrochemical based acrylic paint. Bio Natural Paints are tinted using Bio Natural Mineral Pigments, giving you the best possible combination of natural, safe, healthy paint finishes with which to decorate your home, and your furniture. Travel is also kept to a minimum, and arrangements are made to make the most of time and resources when travel is unavoidable.
