The Role: Based on the Gold Coast (Nerang), and founded in 1978, Australian Timber and Trusses have provided timber products for tens of thousands of successful housing projects in New South Wales and Queensland.

We are a Quality Assured company and are proud members of the Housing Industry Association (HIA), Frame and Truss Manufacturers Association of Australia (FTMA), Forest & Wood Products Australia (FWPA), and Timber Queensland. We are Australian owned and operated and are experts in the Australian building industry.

Our IT Infrastructure includes advanced computer-controlled factory equipment from Hundegger, Mitek & Rockwell automation. Our Server environment is built on VMware, ESXi, Windows Server 2019, Veeam Backups, & Palo Alto Firewalls for security. Our desktop SOE is currently Windows 10 with Office 365 business premium and we have enabled our office staff to RDP from home as required during Covid restrictions. Previous experience on these platforms is a must.

You will utilise your outstanding customer service skills, provide a high level of knowledge, support and advice to all desktop and network ICT users across the organisation and demonstrate teamwork and professionalism with the internal IT department and external IT resources alike.
You will support the maintenance, updating and implementation of IT equipment, hardware & software. To ensure an environment of continuous improvement, you will actively contribute to, develop, implement, and refine IT policies and procedures.

Essential Skills & Experience:
• Microsoft Windows Server administration experience
• Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy administration experience
• Security administration experience
• Patching & updates implementation experience
• VMware & ESXi administration experience
• Office 365 administration experience
• Windows desktop support & administration experience
• Veeam backup administration experience
• Printer administration experience
• General IT support, problem solving & customer management experience
Highly Desirable Skills & Experience
• Process Control Language (PCL), Rockwell automation
• Microsoft Excel - Data analysis & report generation
• LOB – Experience with Line of Business applications
• Mitek Software

Our company requires Sawyers at our manufacturing facility in Nerang to fill casual positions on both day and night shift. Successful applicants will work 5 days a week (hours outlined below) with the view to becoming fulltime after an agreed time.

Day Shift hours are 6:30am -2:15pm, Monday - Friday.

Night shift hours 2:30pm -10:15pm. Monday - Friday with 15% wage loading

Weekend work available

Using the fully automated/computerised Hundegger saws to provide cut to length material to the truss plant for manufacturing. We require fit people to load and unload timber from the infeed and outfeed decks

We are a fabricator that supplies Roof Trusses, Floor Trusses & Prenail Wall Frames withinsouth-east Queensland and beyond servicing both residential and commercial clients.

Knowledge of timber sizes, grades etc advantageous. All training provided on site.

Prior experience in prenail or stick framing is beneficial, but not essential. Knowledge and experience of construction and framing practices is preferred.

Hazard Alert – Large Diameter Screws into Narrow Edges of Truss Chords

ATT wish to bring to our client’s attention that MiTek have issued a Hazard Alert about large diameter screws (approximately 8mm) that have been introduced to the market in recent times.
These screws are intended to be installed into the narrow (35mm) edge of roof truss chords and pose major concerns for the structural integrity of the truss.

Because of this, MiTek have nominated that these large diameter screws are not to be used in MiTek trusses that are fabricated by ATT under a MiTek license.

MiTek’s NCC code compliant software considers all such strength reductions in their truss designs where MiTek screws are nominated in the outputs.

MiTek’s design certifications will be annulled if other screws are used in these applications.
