Play in Purple is a national pancreatic cancer awareness campaign that’s embraced by community sporting clubs nationwide.💛💚

This year, we’re raising money and awareness by purchasing purple socks to wear for our Play in Purple Round; 1-2nd August 2026🌟⚽️

More details will be released in the coming weeks on how to order socks, who to contact, and where you can go with any questions you have💭🧐

By pulling on a pair of purple socks, you’re helping to fund vital research into pancreatic cancer whilst also raising awareness that a healthy lifestyle, exercise and social connection can all reduce the risk of cancer.🧦

Grateful to our wonderful parents and grandparents who brought us out to this wonderful country.

Your grandparents may have been on one of these ships. In the 1950s and 1960s, Malta quietly emptied itself. Nearly 100,000 people boarded ships at Grand Harbour and sailed for Australia, four weeks at sea, one suitcase, and no guarantee they would ever come back. Some went for the work. Some went because the dockyard had just let their father go. Some went because everyone else was going. This is the story of the greatest emigration in Maltese history: the ships, the farewells, the suburbs of Melbourne they made Maltese, and whether their grandchildren still know the words of Il-Innu Malti.

Today, we pause to remember and honour the courage, sacrifice, and spirit of all who have served and continue to serve our country.

On ANZAC Day, we reflect on the bravery of the men and women who gave so much, and we acknowledge the lasting impact their service has had on our communities and way of life.

As a small business here in North Richmond, we’re proud to be part of a community that remembers. We thank those who have served, and we pay our respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
