Noto House sits in Thirroul, built as a passive house meaning every decision, down to which way the rooms face, made to keep it comfortable without relying on heating or cooling.

Adam, the principal contractor intentionally chose materials that would hold up over time. This is not something you'd notice in a photo but the kind of decision that proves itself twenty years from now.

Outside, Axon™ Cladding, Linea™ Weatherboard and Hardie™ Fine Texture Cladding are built to weather gracefully.

Designed around its connection to the outdoors, this home uses expansive glass walls to frame the courtyard and bring the garden into everyday living. The outdoor retreat continues this sense of connection, creating a space that feels like a natural extension of the home.

Linea™ Weatherboard wraps the exterior in a crisp white horizontal profile, giving the home a clean, considered finish.

Set among established trees in Bogangar, this home pairs sculptural archways with soft, sun-washed interiors. Every room opens onto green views, blurring the line between garden and living space. For the exterior they used Hardie™ Brushed Concrete Cladding.

Every arch in this home leads somewhere worth walking to.

The latest from leans into soft curves, striped awnings and warm sandstone against a crisp white exterior, the kind of home built for long lunches by the pool and doors left open all summer. Hardie™ Fine Texture Cladding paired with Hardie™ Cavity Batten and Axon™ Cladding runs across the exterior, giving it that clean, considered coastal finish.

Shelby’s a content producer, Danny’s a carpenter and together they spent 18 months turning a tired weatherboard on Victoria’s Surf Coast into their dream home Picket House

They did almost all of it themselves: demolition, concreting, tiling, insulation - the lot. What started as a bathroom overhaul turned into a full renovation and extension once they saw what the rest of the house needed.

The palette is earthy and tonal olive greens, sandy neutrals, Hardie™ cladding products throughout with skylights and big windows pulling in light and framing the trees and coastline beyond.

Pavilion, by , has gabled rooflines, crisp white exterior and a courtyard at the centre that pulls light and calm through the whole floor plan.

Axon™ Cladding and Linea™ Weatherboard give this home its relaxed, classic feel while engineered to stand up to harsh Australian conditions, including coastal conditions

Save this if a courtyard home is somewhere on your list.

From the street, it’s just a dark, quiet box, then you walk inside. Designed by Ellul Architecture this Japandi home wraps itself around a small internal courtyard.

The deep charcoal exterior is Axon™ Cladding, and it’s doing exactly what dark cladding does best on a home like this: disappearing into the background so the architecture doesn’t compete with what’s growing around it.

Four Gardens House by Ironbark Architecture and built by Chris Mayo - Belair design + build keeps a restrained, private face that then opens up completely once you’re inside.

Two central courtyards and a breezeway let light and garden views move through the whole home. The material palette is deliberately quiet: dark, deep-grooved vertical Axon™ Cladding, masonry and warm timber, so the gardens stay the focus.

White weatherboard, an arched entry and a pool deck built for long afternoons, this one ticks every Modern Coastal box.

Built and designed by Coastline Builders and designers, the home leans on horizontal Linea™ Weatherboard for that classic, relaxed coastal exterior, with Axon™ Cladding detailing the deck and framing the arched battens out back. Around the outdoor kitchen, Hardie™ Flex Sheet with timber strips over the joins adds warmth and is low maintenance.

Save this if white weatherboard and an arched doorway are on your moodboard.
