Our planks are crafted with precision and care. The three solid wood layers are bonded together using a formaldehyde-free, eco-friendly white glue based on vinegar and chalk.

To ensure perfect stability, the top and bottom layers are glued simultaneously. The middle layer is strategically placed at a 90-degree angle to provide additional strength and prevent warping.

After assembly, the planks are pressed under careful supervision to allow the glue to set. We prioritise quality over speed, using a slower-setting adhesive that delivers superior durability.

The owners of this eclectic home in Brisbane felt a real connection with their Mafi floors. Their decision to choose Mafi was in favour of the natural oil finish and in keeping a closeness with the natural wood.

In expressing the downfalls of lacquered or polished timber floors our client passionately explained “ you have this beautiful wood and you cover it up! You can’t touch it. That wasn’t for us!”

Indulge in the opulence of our Nero Oak flooring. While the base colour is undeniably rich and sophisticated, a closer look reveals subtle variations in shade across each individual plank. Our Vulcano heat treatment process ensures a deep colour, that extends all the way through the oak. The result is a luxurious floor that exudes timeless elegance.
