Our stormwater pipe comes in 6 metre lengths, which is longer than the whole car, let alone the bit behind the seats. So we'll deliver it on a Tuesday or Thursday, in Strath or on the regional run, and the car just carries the glue. Tag the mate who'd try it anyway with a red rag on the end.

The basil that doesn't give up is here, and if yours always ends up with grey fuzz under the leaves, I think this one's for you.

Amazel is the first sweet Italian basil bred to resist downy mildew, and because it's seed-sterile it keeps putting out leaves instead of bolting, so you just pinch off any flowers.

It means more pesto and a lot less heartbreak.

hot tip pants are optional for when you order gas.

We know how it goes, you're in the shower, you've got shampoo in your hair and suddenly the warm water goes lukewarm.

You go oh no it's fine but then it's not fine. All of a sudden it's out of the shower, in the towel, down the hallway, 9pm, in the dark and you're going to turn on your our other gas bottle so you can finish your shower and get the shampoo out of your hair.

The 2400W with the hose reel is $329, the 2000W is $279 and the 1400W is $169, and the Ranger Pro 12V compressor is down to $305 while we're at it. One of these roses changes colour on you and the other one you can smell from the front gate.

Chameleon is all looks and no perfume, and Showpiece is the one you'll catch yourself leaning in to sniff.

So it really just comes down to whether you garden with your eyes or your nose.

This is what your cheaper b**r kit actually cost you.

You drove to Mt Barker to save a couple of bucks on a Coopers kit, and you came home with a pie, a bag from a shop you only ducked into and no yeast, so you went back for it. Honestly, I'd have bought the pie too.

The cheapest kit is the one you don't have to drive for.

Coopers, Morgan's, Black Rock, Mangrove Jack's and Still Spirits are all in the homebrew aisle at H in Strathalbyn, and the yeast is right next to them.
