Yard Hand – Bendigo (AIH)

AIH is looking for a reliable, hands-on Yard Hand to join our Bendigo branch. This is a practical, varied role where you’ll help keep our rental fleet clean, safe, organised, and ready to go - while supporting the team in the yard, stores and workshop area.

About AIH

Atlas Industrial Holdings (AIH) is a family-owned industrial services group based out of Bendigo, Victoria. We operates multiple divisions across the construction equipment supply chain—covering equipment rental, sales, parts, manufacturing, and mechanical services—serving customers in construction, mining, quarrying and agriculture.

What you’ll be doing:

- Washing and detailing rental machinery to a high standard
- General yard duties and housekeeping (keeping the yard, workshop and work areas tidy and safe)
- Assisting customers on-site with basic queries and collection/return processes

Working in our stores area:
- Packing parts for shipping
- Unpacking and receipting incoming stock
- Helping maintain an organised stores layout
- Completing pre-hire and return inspections using our software (tablet/phone-based)
- Carrying out general repairs and basic maintenance on rental equipment (as required)

What we’re looking for:
- A practical, “get it done” attitude and strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working outdoors and around machinery
- Confident using basic software/apps to complete inspections and checklists
- Good communication skills and a friendly approach with customers
- Ability to work safely and follow procedures
- Mechanical aptitude or prior experience with machinery/repairs is an advantage (but not essential)
