Delivering a safer, more durable and future-ready environment for this childcare centre through extensive remediation and refurbishment works across an approximate 1,859m² gross floor area.
The project involved the structural redesign of the Level 1 deck area incorporating a butterfly flooring system, new PVC membrane installation, and strip drainage upgrades to improve long-term waterproofing performance and building resilience.
In the investigation process, major building design deficiencies and non-compliant fire stopping installations were identified. Working collaboratively with structural and fire engineers, we implemented solutions to rectify these building elements and achieve compliance.
The wider remediation scope included roof remediation, façade and soffit replacements, weatherproofing upgrades, internal wall and ceiling renewals, mechanical and electrical reinstatement, and the transformation of outdoor play spaces — all delivered while maintaining occupied operations for the day care centre.
