Huge effort from our own Craig Welton 👏

Over the weekend, Craig completed The Long Walk Back to the Shed - 230km on foot, raising awareness and funds for Talk2MeBro and mental health in our community.

What started as one man's walk turned into something much bigger. Along the way, Craig was joined by support crews, mates, and strangers who wanted to be part of it - with dozens of stops between Singleton and the finish line at Lake Macquarie City FC.

The result: $12,700 raised for Talk2mebro, and climbing.

Craig undertook this walk in memory of his mum, Michelle Welton, and in the hope that it starts conversations and reminds people they're not alone.

We're proud to have Craig as part of the Hunter Windows team, and even prouder of what he's achieved. Well done, mate - that's an incredible thing to have done.

Macquarie Tower is live on Architecture & Design - and Hunter Windows is front and centre.
The Charlestown tower is a landmark for the Hunter Region: 15 storeys of commercial space, childcare, and residential apartments all working behind one unified façade. Our team installed over 3,698m2 of glazing across the building, navigating some genuinely complex challenges - from childcare safety requirements to exposed corner wind loads to NSW Design Practitioners Act compliance.
It's a project we're proud of, and it's great to see it recognised in the industry press.

We recently wrapped up work on the stunning Sullivan Residence, an architecturally designed masterpiece built by the team at Freedom Homes with design by Sheer Designs.

This project was all about bringing the outside in. By using large corner double-glazed windows and expansive sliding doors, we’ve framed those North Arm Cove views perfectly while ensuring maximum airflow.

One of our favorite features? The raking windows that follow the roofline to flood the home with natural light. 💡

It wasn't just about looks, we successfully navigated complex BASIX and bushfire requirements to ensure this home is as safe and efficient as it is beautiful.

ONE Apartments by GWH in Newcastle East is complete.
Hunter Windows supplied and installed all windows and glazing for this dual tower project with GWH Build. The finished building is bright, modern and coastal throughout.

Macquarie Tower - Charlestown

Duration: July 2024 – June 2025

Hunter Windows is proud to have manufactured, supplied and installed the full aluminium and glazing package for the new 15-storey Macquarie Tower commercial development in Charlestown.

Our scope included:
• Ground Floor Shop Fronts with high-performance glazing
• Level 3 Child Care Centre - fixed glazing, sliding and hinged doors
• Curtain Wall façade across Levels 4-7
• Upper-level glazing package - sliding doors, fixed glazing, hinged doors, sliding windows and awning windows

In total, our team installed:
• 3,698m² of glazing
• 2,376 individual glass panels

To support quality and compliance, we delivered:
• 202 shop drawings documenting design and fabrication
• 416 QA ITPs - one for every window
• Comprehensive watertesting with façade consultants Indesco to verify performance and watertightness

A great collaboration with GWH and all project partners.

One of Our Own, Walking for a Cause: The Long Walk Back to the Shed

One of our valued team members at Hunter Windows, Craig, is taking on a challenge that combines two of his greatest passions—football and community.

Craig has spent over a decade deeply involved with South Cardiff FC as a player, coach, committee member and now assistant coach. This August, he’s turning that passion into purpose by walking 150km to visit all 10 Northern League 1 clubs—raising awareness and funds for Talk2meBro, a mental health charity doing powerful work in our sporting communities.

For Craig, it’s personal. It’s about making a difference, starting conversations, and showing that support is always available.
