🧺⚡CRATE LIFE⚡🧺

⏱️10 minutes. That’s all it took to get this cargo basket locked onto the FR777. A simple accessory to carry most things.

Used the included allen keys, and small aocket to make it quicker, no drama.

First load? Foraging gear poncho.

Could just as easily be fishing kit, hunting pack, or whatever the day calls for.

This thing is already changing how I move around. Quiet, capable, and now it’s got storage. 🤙🏼

making adventure easy at every step.

🔥🍷 SKOOL 🍷🔥

Bali. Open flame kitchen. Every dish touched by fire.

Got the chance to sit down at and then go behind the scenes with the incredibly talented head chef .darrent a bloke who knows fire.

Watched him and his team work the line, the way they approach heat here is serious. 70% all cooked with fire.

We ate. A lot.

🐟 Hay smoked kingfish tartare
🥩 Global, full blood mature grassfed wagyu porterhouse MB6
🥩 Balinese Black Heritage pork loin, pumpkin, jus gras, makrut lime

🌴🔥 SHELTER 🔥🌴

Family trips to Bali turn epic when you find a restaurant that embraces woodfire + middle eastern inspired cuisine. pererenan — a long lunch, all the food, family loved it.

This place understands fire and flavour. Wood-roasted, smoked, charred, cooking that reminds you why technique matters.

Here’s what we ate:

🫒 Olives, mandarin peel, aromats
🍞 Bread from the oven, house za’atar
🌿 Whipped chickpeas, smoked paprika oil, flatbread
🐟 Spiced raw yellowfin tuna crostini, grilled sourdough, preserved lemon mayo
🐟 Coffee smoked salmon, apple, pickled cabbage, beetroot slaw, young fennel, toasted almonds, labneh

🔥 THE SKEWERS — all of them 😅
🥩 Chemen spiced beef skewer, burnt lime mayo, pickled jicama
🐑 Black pepper lamb, mint, coriander pomegranate salsa, harissa mayo
🍗 Za’atar chicken skewers, toasted sesame, oregano, crisp garlic
🦐 King prawn, picada, chipotle aioli, prawn oil, native lemon

🥩 300g MB4 Stanbroke grass fed black angus ribeye, cavolo nero, portobello anchovy & chilli burnt butter
🌽 Roasted corn, sumac burnt butter parmesan
🍆 Roasted eggplant, whipped feta, candied chilli dressing
🍟 Hand cut fries, chipotle aioli, rosemary salt

🍮 Toasted milk, honey ice cream, mandarin ice, hibiscus
🍫 Wood roasted chocolate, salted caramel gelato, sumac honeycomb
🍋 Toasted passion fruit marshmallow, passion fruit gelato, mascarpone

The ribeye was the standout, grass fed beef, epic!

But honestly everything earned its place on the table. The skewers alone were worth the trip.

When you eat at places like this, it just reinforces why the cooking method matters so much. Wood, fire, smoke — it changes everything.

🧄🌿 MALTESE 🌿🧄

Some traditions don’t need improving.

Zalzett Malti, the legit one, from Grima Bros.

Pork, garlic, parsley, coriander, cracked pepper. That’s it. No filler.

Cooked over fire, cheated with the for speed but the char was perfect.

Served the only way that makes sense. Fresh crusty bread rubbed with ripe tomato, drizzled in olive oil, olives, capers, and whatever’s kicking around.

That’s ħobż biż-żejt.

Simple food.

🔥 Zalzett Malti — the basics:
500g pork mince, coarse grind
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 tsp coriander seeds, toasted and cracked
1 tsp sea salt
½ tsp cracked black pepper
Natural pig casings
Mix well, rest overnight in the fridge, grill over medium heat until the skin blisters/browns.

🔥🐐HUNTED ASADO🐐🔥

One of my favourite memories, harvesting a goat and the next day turning it into a whole-beast asado, feeding 15 people and communing together.

⚒️🔥 SECOND LIFE: RESTO🔥⚒️

A little while back I shared this blade — a 13.5in piece of carbon steel with a past.

Since then… I’ve spent some time bringing it back.

Cleaning years of use.
Working through the patina without stripping its story.
Bringing the handle back to life.
No modifications.

Not trying to make it perfect, just usable again.

There’s something in that process… slowing down, respecting the tool, understanding how it was made and how it was used long before it got to you.

This video is that process.

Still one final step to go — handing it over to to put a proper edge back on it 🔪🔥 That’s when it really comes alive again.

Massive thank you again to Maggie — this one’s got a lot more life left in it.
