It is with great sadness that we inform our customers of the passing of Ron Bellingham, Founder and Owner of Bellingham & Co, who passed away peacefully on the 27th of April, surrounded by his family.

Ron began his business ventures nearly 68 years ago and he leaves behind a lasting legacy within the Southern Downs community. His strong passion, determination & dedication to his business formed the foundation of his achievements and earned the respect of many.

His family expresses their sincere gratitude for the many kind messages and support received during this time.

A celebration of Ron's life will be held at St Mark's Anglican Church, Warwick on the 14th of May 2026 at 10:30am.

Bellingham & Co and Southern Downs Mechanical will be closed on this day allowing our staff and family to attend the service and honour Ron's life. We sincerely thank you for your understanding during this time. Our team will continue to remain committed to honouring Ron's legacy by upholding the same dedication, service and integrity that he was so proud of. 🤍

Bellingham & Co are looking for a Full Time experienced Parts Interpreter or someone who is keen and willing to learn, to join our busy team.

We are a locally owned and operated spare parts retail store located in Warwick, Queensland that offers an extensive range of parts and accessories servicing the automotive, agricultural, road transport and industrial sectors.

Our new team member must be enthusiastic, able to work cooperatively and independently and willing to work in a fast-paced team environment.

In this role, every day is different, and you will always be learning new skills and acquiring knowledge about so many different aspects of many industries.

The role of this position:

As a parts interpreter you will play a crucial role in our operations, handling retail parts sales and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

You will begin working in the warehouse where you will grow your knowledge and become familiar with the kind of parts that we offer through the business. The team will mentor and train you in all aspects of your new role. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow and develop into a career that is very rewarding.

Key responsibilities:

- Maintaining and organising the showroom stock displays
- Un-packing orders and put stock away as needed
- Interpreting parts for customers over the counter as well as over the phone
- Ordering stock as needed and preparing for customer collection
- Stocktaking
- Liaising and maintaining customer relations
- Opportunity for professional development

To be a successful applicant you must have:

- Excellent communication and outstanding customer service skills
- Be sales driven
-Previous experience in the industry would be ideal and mechanical knowledge would be helpful
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to multitask
- Be highly organised and possess great time management skills
- Have a positive attitude and a good work ethic, as well as being eager to learn and take the next step in building your career
- Forklift Licence would be ideal but not a must
- Manual Drivers Licence is required
- Available to start as soon as possible
